If I need to drill a certain hole in a particular metal alloy. A hole’s diameter and tolerance are used to illustrate its cylindricity and/or the perpendicularity of its axis relative to some reference datum. I’m wondering whether there are any suggestions for choosing the suitable size/geometry of the drill bit or the sequence of operations to get the desired hole.

You can find the drill bit size chart on lots of sites such as IPQC’s WIKI, standard size drill bits available in several measurement systems.
