There are many classification methods for product quality inspection. Here’s the list.
Classification according to the order of production process
    1. Incoming inspection
Incoming inspection refers to the inspection of purchased raw materials, purchased parts, outsourced parts, accessories, auxiliary materials, supporting products and semi-finished products before warehousing.

The purpose of incoming inspection is to prevent unqualified products from entering the warehouse, to prevent the use of unqualified products from affecting product quality, affecting enterprise reputation or disrupting the normal production order. This is very important to control the quality and reduce the unnecessary economic losses of enterprises.
The incoming inspection shall be carefully inspected by the full-time inspector of the enterprise in strict accordance with the technical documents.
Incoming inspection includes first (piece) batch sample inspection and batch incoming inspection.

    2. Process inspection
Process inspection, also known as process inspection, is the inspection between processing procedures in the process of product formation. The purpose is to ensure that the unqualified semi-finished products in each process cannot flow into the next process, prevent the continuous processing of unqualified semi-finished products and the unqualified batch of semi-finished products, and ensure the normal production order. Because the process inspection is carried out according to the production process and operating procedures, it plays a role in verifying the process and ensuring the implementation of the process procedures.
There are three main forms of process inspection: first article inspection; Patrol inspection; Completion inspection.

    3. Final inspection
Final inspection, also known as finished product inspection, aims to ensure that unqualified products do not leave the factory. Finished product inspection is a comprehensive inspection of products after production and before warehousing.

The finished product inspection is the responsibility of the enterprise’s quality inspection organization. The inspection shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the finished product inspection instructions. The inspection of large quantities of finished products is generally carried out by means of statistical sampling inspection.

For the products that pass the finished product inspection, the workshop can handle the warehousing procedures only after the inspector issues the certificate of conformity. All finished products that fail to pass the inspection shall be returned to the workshop for rework, repair, degradation or scrapping. The reworked and repaired products must be inspected again. The inspector shall make inspection records of the reworked and repaired products to ensure the traceability of product quality.

The methods of quality inspection can be classified according to different marks.
    (1) Divided into full inspection according to the inspection quantity; Sampling inspection
    (2) It is divided into counting inspection according to the quality characteristic value; Metrological Inspection
    (3) It is divided into physical and chemical inspection according to inspection technology and methods; Sensory examination; Biological examination
